75 years of joyful early learning.

For 75 years, Bluebird Pre-Primary in Hyde Park, Sandton has been more than a school, it has been a community.

Built on a legacy of families, staff and children who find a deep sense of belonging here, Bluebird is a very special place where childhood is treasured and the wonder of learning comes alive. Nestled in a tranquil garden, our preschool welcomes children aged 2–6 into a nurturing and safe environment that has inspired generations.

Our proud history is rooted in connection and care, while our vision embraces the future. At Bluebird, we balance tradition with forward-thinking approaches by holding fast to the non-negotiables of our legacy while adopting modern, innovative practices that enrich early learning. This ensures that every child receives an education that is both timeless and relevant.

Guided by highly qualified and passionate staff, our dynamic play-based curriculum helps children thrive academically, socially and emotionally.

We nurture confidence, independence, self-discipline and self-knowledge, while encouraging creativity, curiosity and problem-solving. Ultimately, Bluebird is a place where children are given Roots to Grow and Wings to Fly, preparing them to step confidently into the world of “big school” and beyond.

Registered with the Gauteng Department of Basic Education, ISASA, and certified by IQAA, Bluebird continues to uphold the highest standards in early childhood education.
