The foundations of Bluebird’s success are the strong partnerships we build between parents, teachers and children. We see education as a collaboration, and the best results are achieved when everyone is engaged, active and working together.

In the same way that we empower children to have enquiring minds, we are always open to your ideas and suggestions for improvements. The more involved you are, the better the educational outcomes we can achieve.

Parent Partnerships

The home/school partnership is absolutely vital, and we’ve always had a warm and welcoming, “open door” approach that encourages communication and builds understanding of this amazing, shared journey that we have all embarked on. Termly parent/teacher meetings and bi-annual written reports provide structured feedback on the progress that the children are making.

Regular Parent Workshops and Coffee Club mornings provide a chance to discuss issues around parenting, education and global trends. We strongly believe in giving parents opportunities to connect and support each other through the early years of their child’s education.

Parent Association

Bluebird is able to count on the amazing support of our Parent Association (PA) – the backbone of our community building and fund-raising initiatives. The Chair of the PA is supported by representatives from each class, and together they plan many wonderful events which celebrate and build our Bluebird community. We encourage all parents to get involved from day one in what can be one of the most rewarding aspects of life at Bluebird.

The Hand Print Fund and Community Partnerships

The Bluebird Hand Print Fund provides bursaries to families who qualify for financial support. We also partner with outreach programmes and community projects in our local neighbourhood. In this way, we can help our children to be more aware of the needs of others and develop their empathy and compassion. The kind of mindfulness that leads to simple acts of kindness is key to building a new tomorrow in our country.
